For information on the use of prescribed fire for vegetation management on your ranch, plan to participate in the field day and ranch tour on the M.M. Kothmann ranch on Friday, July 25, 2008. There will be presentations about prescribed burning for vegetation management for livestock and wildlife. We will discuss how to start a prescribed burning program on your ranch. Following the presentations, there will be a tour of the pastures to view the results and effects of burns conducted in August of 2003 and 2005.
